March is National Flour Month!

Bronze Chief/ Hard red, Prairie Gold/ Hard white, Soft white, Spelt, Emmer, Einkorn, Kamut, Barley, Durum/Semolina, Rye… Freshly milled whole grains offer us many options of flour to try. Basic whole wheat bread is made weekly for my family, but this week I’ve also made Spelt muffins, rye bread, and barley chocolate chip cookies. All were delicious! One friend picked up Einkorn and another Spelt. What flour will you use this month?

Coming in late April: Sourdough Bread Baking class. Stay tuned for dates!

 

Bulk food order due 3/13 12:00 noon. Seasonings and essential oil orders due 4/6.
