January Bread Classes

Do you want to bake bread that looks and tastes as great as this?



Come to one of our bread classes and learn the skills that will get you started.  We will offer two bread classes this month.  Pick the one that interests you the most and come over for an afternoon of learning, fun and real good food!

Sourdough Bread:  Saturday, January 16th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm.  Learn to bake bread the “old fashioned way” using Carl Griffith’s 1847 sourdough starter.  Make classic tangy San Francisco Sourdough or sandwich bread that has only a hint of the sourdough starter that makes it rise so beautifully.  Sourdough breads are a little more challenging than basic whole grain bread, so this class is best suited for those with at least a little bread baking experience.

Basic Whole Grain Bread:  Monday, January 18th, 1:00 – 3:00 pm.  High quality bread is mostly about high quality ingredients.  Come learn everything you need to know to bake delicious whole grain breads for your family.  Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced baker, there is always more to learn.  We will mill our flour, mix our dough, knead the dough, shape the loaves, bake the bread, and then we will eat it!!  We have such a delicious time learning together!!
